Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to join our procurement team in Chennai. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and services required for our operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery while building strong relationships with suppliers in the local and broader market.

Responsibilities

Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible value for the company.

Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation, including supplier information, pricing, and contracts.

Analyze market trends and commodity prices to identify potential cost savings opportunities.

Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, engineering, quality control) to understand their requirements and ensure alignment of procurement activities.

Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.

Ability to evaluate suppliers and assess risk.

Strong communication skills in Tamil and English.

Educational Qualification: Diploma/BE in Mech

Experience: 3+ yrs
