Job Description
Responsibilities:
Make sure our Chennai operations are cost-effective and valuable by negotiating advantageous terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, lead times, and quality agreements.
Create and handle purchase orders with precision and efficiency, guaranteeing prompt material delivery to fulfil manufacturing deadlines at our Chennai facility.
Keep close tabs on the performance of your current suppliers in Chennai and South India, and take swift action to resolve any problems.
For our Chennai manufacturing, find new suppliers and investigate substitute materials or vendors to reduce supply chain risks, maximise costs, and enhance quality.
Work closely with Chennai's production, engineering, quality control, and finance departments to comprehend material needs, specs, and financial limitations.
Skills:
strong knowledge of supplier management, procurement procedures, and cost-cutting strategies pertinent to Chennai manufacturing.
The capacity to assess supplier bids, study market trends, and make well-informed decisions about what to buy.
ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and ERP/MRP systems effectively for procurement-related tasks.
