Job Description
Responsibilities
Comply with payer regulations and coding norms unique to Chennai and Indian healthcare when accurately entering patient details, procedures (CPT), diagnoses (ICD-10), and charges into the medical billing system.
Examine patient records, encounter forms, and other paperwork to make sure charges are captured accurately and completely while adhering to Chennai's local documentation standards.
Maintain a high level of data integrity and correctness in the billing system while following the data input guidelines set forth at our Chennai office.
When necessary, use both Tamil and English to efficiently communicate with the billing team and clinical professionals in Chennai to resolve charge entry errors or clarify information.
Respect all applicable HIPAA rules, billing laws, and corporate guidelines in Chennai and India.
Skills
Basic understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding principles relevant to the Indian healthcare system.
Demonstrated accuracy and speed in data entry tasks, specifically within a medical billing context.
Meticulous attention to detail in billing-related tasks, ensuring accuracy for claims processed in Chennai.
Proficiency in using computer software and medical billing systems commonly used in Chennai.
