Job Description

To join our HR and Finance team in Chennai, we are looking for a Payroll Executive who is precise and detail-oriented. You will be in charge of processing employee payroll accurately and on schedule while making sure that all legal requirements and corporate guidelines are followed. Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and payroll procedures, as well as exceptional organisational abilities, are prerequisites for this position.

Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end payroll process for employees in our Chennai location, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Collect, verify, and process employee data changes, including new hires, terminations, transfers, and salary adjustments.

Calculate and process monthly payroll, including salaries, wages, allowances, deductions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.), and overtime.

Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian labor laws, tax regulations (Income Tax, Professional Tax), and statutory requirements (PF, ESI).

Generate accurate payroll reports, including salary statements, PF/ESI challans, TDS returns, and other statutory filings.

Skills:

Strong understanding of Indian payroll laws, tax regulations (Income Tax, Professional Tax), and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity).

Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).

Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Educational Qualification: Any Basic Degree and MBA

Experience: 3+ yrs
