Responsibilities
Oversee the complete payroll processing for staff members stationed in our Chennai office and maybe other places in India, making sure that all legal requirements are met and that the data is accurate.
For the purpose of processing payroll in Chennai, gather, validate, and handle employee data, including new hiring, terminations, wage adjustments, tax deductions, and other pertinent information.
In order to provide correct financial reporting for payroll expenses in Chennai, reconcile payroll data with accounting records and settle any differences.
Keep abreast of modifications to India's tax laws, payroll rules, and statutory compliance requirements, especially those that have an impact on payroll.
For our Chennai operations, keep thorough and well-organised payroll records and paperwork in accordance with legal and audit standards.
Ensure seamless and effective payroll procedures by coordinating with the HR and finance departments in Chennai and other locations.
Skills
Strong understanding of payroll processes, calculations, and deductions.
Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using payroll software and HRIS systems.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
