Job Description

Focus: In a Chennai manufacturing scenario, highlight the strategic and practical leadership needed to manage a competent team, optimise equipment reliability, monitor all maintenance activities, and use preventive and predictive maintenance. Emphasise the vital role in reducing idle time and increasing output.

Experience: 5 to 10 yrs

What you’ll Do:

Create and oversee the maintenance budget, making sure that operating efficiency is maintained while maximising expenditures for labour, spare parts, outside services, and equipment upgrades.

Establish a culture of safety, effectiveness, and ongoing learning by leading, coaching, and developing a top-performing group of maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, and fitters.

Work together with the engineering and production teams to support the installation of new equipment, find opportunities for equipment upgrades, and guarantee design maintainability.

Make sure that all local laws and certifications pertaining to electrical systems, machinery, and facility upkeep in Tamil Nadu are followed.

Negotiate contracts with outside partners and make sure they deliver services on schedule and with high quality.

What you need:

In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems commonly found in manufacturing.

Strong understanding of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance principles.

Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work order management, scheduling, and reporting.
