HOD of Moulding Develop Quality in Industrial Operations

Job Description

Focus: In a Chennai manufacturing scenario, highlight the strategic and operational leadership needed to manage all facets of the moulding department, maximise output, guarantee quality, and promote ongoing development.

Experience: 8 to 10 yrs

What you’ll Do:

For the Chennai factory, establish departmental targets, KPIs, and objectives pertaining to quality, cost reduction, scrap rates, production output, and efficiency (OEE).

To avoid recurrence, troubleshoot production difficulties, monitor production performance metrics in real-time, and take rapid, effective remedial action.

Oversee activities for continuous improvement aimed at improving product quality and lowering moulding process flaws.

Oversee tooling operations, such as new mould commissioning, maintenance, repair, and storage, and make sure the moulds are performance-optimized and ready for production.

Create a cooperative and upbeat work atmosphere that promotes problem-solving, teamwork, and ongoing education.

Effectively handle any personnel concerns, manage staff performance, and carry out reviews.

What you need:

proficiency in resolving complex process-related problems and machine faults.

the capacity to function well in a high-pressure, fast-paced manufacturing setting.

strong familiarity with Tamil Nadu's and Chennai's supplier base, labour regulations, and local manufacturing ecosystem.
