Job Description

For our New Product Development (NPD) Department, which specialises in injection-molded plastic components, we are looking for a highly driven and technically skilled Assistant Manager at our Chennai location. From concept ideation to design, prototyping, testing, and a successful production launch, you will be in charge of overseeing and assisting with product development initiatives. Strong knowledge of injection moulding procedures, plastic product design, project management abilities, and the capacity to work well with clients and cross-functional teams are all prerequisites for this position.

Responsibilities

Create and oversee project schedules, budgets, and plans for NPD projects.

For new plastic parts and assemblies, supervise or carry out the preparation of technical drawings and 3D CAD modelling.

Examine test findings and apply design revisions in response to comments.

Oversee the first mould trials and adjust the parameters of the moulding process to get the desired part quality and cycle time.

Encourage a culture of creativity, teamwork, and ongoing development in the division.

Skills:

Excellent communication abilities in Tamil and English, both written and spoken (important).

strong presentation, negotiating, and people abilities.

solution-selling skills and a customer-focused approach with a thorough awareness of client demands.

Educational Qualification: Any BE graduation

Experience: 5+ yrs
