Job Description

A highly qualified and seasoned VMC Setter is needed to join our vibrant production team. Setting up and optimising Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs) for a variety of machining operations is a critical part of your job as a VMC Setter, which will ensure accurate and efficient production.

What you will do:

Utilise engineering drawings, work instructions, and CNC programs to configure and prepare VMC machines for production runs.

Select and arrange the appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding equipment.

Selecting and using the appropriate tools and fixturing will maximise efficiency, save setup times, and produce the desired machining results.

Diagnose and resolve setup issues, including malfunctioning machines, faulty tools, and software issues.

What we need:

comprehensive knowledge of machining processes, cutting tool selections, and fixturing techniques.

the ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, blueprints, and CNC programs.

accurate use of instruments for precise measurement, including callipers, micrometres, and dial indicators.

Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve setup issues and machine faults.

Experience: 1 to 6 yrs

Qualification: 8th, 10th, 12th, ITI, or Diploma

Location: In and Around Chennai
