Job Description

To supervise the day-to-day manufacturing activities on the shop floor at our Chennai location, we are looking for a highly driven and skilled Production Supervisor. You will be in charge of making sure that quality standards are upheld, production goals are effectively reached, and a secure and effective work environment is promoted. Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a practical approach to team management and manufacturing process optimisation are necessary for this position.

Responsibilities

Oversee and plan the daily actions of production employees on a specified shift or line in order to fulfil production goals and timetables.

For every product produced, make sure that quality standards and requirements are strictly followed.

The production team should be led, encouraged, coached, and given helpful criticism.

On the shop floor, follow and enforce all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

Determine and address equipment failures, process irregularities, and operational problems, executing quick fixes or elevating as necessary.

Keep thorough records of your production, shift reports, downtime assessments, and other pertinent paperwork.

Inform upper management in a clear and concise manner about the production status, obstacles, and needs.

Skills:

strong ability to analyse, solve problems, and make decisions.

knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement techniques.

rudimentary computer skills, including familiarity with Word and Excel in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Educational Qualification: Diploma/BE in Mech

Experience: 3+ yrs
