Jer is the co-founder and CTO of ClassifiedAds.com, where he serves as the company's lead software architect and technologist. AKA "SuperJer," he is a talented and accomplished engineer with deep expertise in scalable web technologies, cross-platform development, and performance optimization. Jer has worked with bootstrapped startups for his entire professional career, including Pike Street Industries (acquired by Marchex in 2005) and Blue Moon Ventures, Inc. Jer became enthralled with coding at at the age of 8 when his dad showed him how to modify the code for QBasic Gorillas to make the bananas go nuclear. His McDiddy's cartoons have entertained millions of Internet viewers, and he has been featured on the MSDN Coding4Fun blog for his "PixelMachine" article about ray tracing. He received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Western Washington University, graduating at the top of his class. In his spare time he enjoys hiking and speedrunning video games.
