Extrusion Machine Operator (3rd Shift) - Bedford, OH - JOB 26-00252
 
Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits
*Plus bonus potential every 6 months and a Sign-On Bonus: $1,000
Shift: Night Shift (10:00 PM – 10:00 AM)
 
A manufacture in the Bedford, Ohio is seeking an experienced Extrusion Machine Operator. Responsible for setting up and operating extrusion lines to produce high-quality plastic products tailored to precise customer specifications.
 
Core Responsibilities

• Set Up & Operation: Start up and adjust extrusion machines for thermoplastics according to specific work orders
• Material Management: Load materials into extruders and calibrate feed mechanisms for optimal output
• Quality Control: Constantly monitor gauges, control boards, and material flow to detect and resolve defects or malfunctions immediately
• Precision Reporting: Complete detailed production reports and work orders to ensure operational transparency
• Safety & Alertness: Maintain high mental alertness to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team
• Cross-Training: Participate in various production floor duties to master the full manufacturing lifecycle

 
Skills & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Machine Operator (Plastics/Extrusion experience preferred)
• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Higher Level of Education
• Technical Aptitude: Ability to read technical specifications, blueprints, and utilize basic computer functions
• Measurement Mastery: Proficient in using tape measures, calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and scales
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Manual dexterity for hand tool usage is required
• Certifications: Tow motor or Forklift experience/certification is a significant plus

 
Physical Demands

• Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs. (with assistance)
• Frequent standing, climbing, and balancing
• Close-vision acuity for quality inspection
