Quality Control Manager - Twinsburg, OH - JOB 26-00603

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 (Includes $1,000 Sign-on Bonus)
Full-time (Temp-to-Perm or Direct Hire)
1st Shift | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

In this role, you will develop, implement, and manage robust quality management systems (QMS) to ensure continuous production aligns with strict company standards, regulatory guidelines, and customer specifications. Splitting time between strategic administration and hands-on plant floor oversight (65% office / 35% shop floor), you will lead a team of QC technicians, drive corrective actions, and oversee quality compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate quality control technicians; manage daily plant quality operations, scheduling, and floor inspections.
• Ensure continuous quality control for extruded plastic sheet products, verifying appearance, thickness, functionality, and dimensions against customer specs.
• Perform internal/external quality audits, maintain ISO/QMS documentation, update WPI forms, and oversee regulatory compliance.
• Calibrate measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, scales, gloss meters, and color meters); conduct incoming material color testing (CIE Lab) and retain physical/digital standards.
• Approve incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods; prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificates of Conformance (COC); maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Lead investigations for non-conformances and Return Material Authorizations (RMAs); execute Root Cause Corrective Actions (CAPA) for customer complaints.
• Develop and update standard QC procedures for new products and processes in collaboration with executive leadership.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in a relevant technical or business field.
• Proven background in management and quality control within a manufacturing environment (plastics or sheet extrusion process experience is a strong plus).
• Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency reading precision tools (calipers, micrometers, scales, dial indicators).
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO standards, and regulatory compliance protocols.
• Manual dexterity, comfort working on production lines, and willingness to troubleshoot equipment or partner with outside technical contractors.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills to interface across accounting, production, and leadership teams.
