Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Accurate Charge Entry: Accurately enter daily charges for multiple physicians, ensuring strict adherence to billing regulations, medical terminology, and coding standards.
2. Compliance and Regulation Adherence: Stay informed of and comply with relevant governmental and managed care policies and procedures, interpreting and applying regulations to ensure proper charge entry.
3. Maintain Productivity and Documentation: Ensure daily account productivity is met, documenting and reporting all activities in an organized and thorough manner.
4. Client and Service Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clients and the services rendered to ensure accurate and timely charge entries.
5. Account Audits and Reviews: Conduct regular audits and reviews of accounts to ensure reimbursement accuracy, identifying discrepancies and taking corrective action as necessary.
6. Issue Resolution: Efficiently identify and resolve patient and insurance-related issues, maintaining accuracy and compliance throughout the process.
7. Quality Improvement Participation: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives by making recommendations to management and contributing to efforts aimed at enhancing reimbursement processes and outcomes.
8. Continuous Learning: Stay current with updates in billing regulations, managed care policies, and coding requirements to ensure accurate and compliant charge entry practices.
