Job Description

Primary Task: To meticulously post and reconcile payments from insurance companies and patients into the medical billing system, guaranteeing accurate financial records and efficient revenue cycle management.

Responsibilities

Accurately check and post payments, making sure they match the service dates and claim information.

Gather pertinent payment data from ERAs and EOBs, then precisely enter it into the billing system.

Create and examine payment posting reports to spot patterns and possible problems.

Examine and fix any problems or anomalies in payments.

In compliance with HIPAA regulations, keep patient financial information private.

Keep thorough and well-organised records of all payment posting operations.

Required Abilities:

Proficiency in interpreting EOBs and ERAs from various insurance payers.

Experience with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and speed.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
