The Charge Entry Executive is responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient demographic and charge information into the medical billing system. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding.

Responsibility:

Check patient insurance details and make sure data entry is correct.

Give medical services and procedures the proper CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes.

Check the source documents for patient demographic and insurance information.

Keep abreast of the rules and regulations pertaining to billing and coding.

Find and report any inconsistencies in the billing or coding.

Keep thorough and precise records of every charge entry.
