Job Description

Focus: In a hospital setting in Chennai, place special emphasis on the fundamental abilities of analysing accounts receivable, resolving billing disputes, and guaranteeing prompt and accurate reimbursement within the medical billing process.

Experience: 0 to 2 yrs

What you’ll Do:

Review and analyze accounts receivable (AR) reports to identify outstanding balances, underpayments, and denials for medical claims processed in Chennai and other regions.

Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies by working with insurance companies, patients, and internal teams in Chennai.

Reconcile patient accounts, process adjustments, and manage refunds accurately and efficiently, adhering to financial policies in our Chennai facility.

Stay updated on the latest medical billing regulations, payer policies, and coding guidelines applicable in India and any specific local regulations in Tamil Nadu.

Generate AR reports and analyses for management in Chennai, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and potential areas for improvement in the billing process.

Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality in all aspects of AR analysis and communication, following Indian data privacy regulations.

What you need:

Experience in interpreting EOBs and ERAs and identifying reasons for underpayments and denials.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve complex billing issues.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with insurance companies, patients, and internal teams in English and potentially Tamil.
