THE POSITION
Are you passionate about providing outstanding nutritional care to some of Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable individuals? The Department of Human Services is seeking a skilled, motivated, and compassionate Clinical Dietitian to join our dedicated dietary services team. In this vital role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive nutrition care plans for residents at Clarks Summit State Hospital. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will plan, coordinate, and manage a comprehensive nutrition care program for patients, including those who require therapeutic or physician-prescribed diets. Your responsibilities include developing, modifying, and implementing menus and individualized nutrition care plans that align with medical directives and established nutritional guidelines. You will conduct detailed nutritional assessments, evaluate diet histories, and complete required medical record documentation. This role requires a high level of initiative, sound clinical expertise, and the ability to exercise independent professional judgment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime and travel: As needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirement:
- You must possess certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.
