Job Description:

The Medical Billing cycle's "Information Architect" and "Data Foundation Specialist" are the Demo Entry Executive. Creating and maintaining accurate patient profiles in the Practice Management (PM) system is your key responsibility. As the "First Gatekeeper," you make sure that all patient information is recorded accurately, from home addresses to insurance ID numbers. The ideal applicant is a fast data entry specialist with a "Detail-Obsessed" mentality who can ensure that the patient's name and coverage details are accurately documented, hence preventing "front-end" claim denials before they even occur.

Key Duties:

Enter and update patient personal data, such as complete name, date of birth, gender, Social Security number, and contact information, with accuracy.

Insurance Profiling: Keep track of payer IDs, policy numbers, group numbers, and the patient's relationship to the insured, among other main, secondary, and tertiary insurance information.

Data Verification: Compare patient information from scanned papers, hospital face sheets, and registration forms to the information already stored in the system.

Provider Information Entry: To guarantee appropriate claim routing, assign the appropriate referring and rendering providers to the patient's interaction.

Error Identification: Determine which information in source documents is missing or unreadable, then work with the front office or provider's office to get the right information.

Eligibility Support: On occasion, help update insurance eligibility status depending on the system's real-time verification results.
