Responsibilities

Post patient payments, Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs), and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) payments into the medical billing system accurately.

Check the payments' correctness against the related claims and remittance information.

Correctly post contractual modifications and denials in accordance with payer policies.

Accurate balancing is ensured by preparing and reconciling daily payment batches.

Respect the company's data security and payment processing rules and procedures.

Reach productivity and accuracy goals for payment posting on a daily and weekly basis.

Effectively discuss payment-related concerns with other members of the billing team.

Skills
Strong understanding of medical billing processes and payment cycles.

Ability to accurately interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs).

Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
