SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Procurement Specialist for its client in San Diego, CA. The person will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, sourcing materials, and ensuring the continuous flow of goods to support global operations. This position plays a key role in supplier performance, contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures procurement activities meet internal policies and external audit, legal, and compliance standards.
• Builds and maintains strong supplier relationships, oversees day-to-day and strategic operations, and identifies cost-saving opportunities.
• Partners with leadership to select, evaluate, and manage suppliers that align with business objectives and sourcing strategies.
• Leads contract development, execution, and maintenance while ensuring risk mitigation and legal compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Develops and executes negotiation strategies for complex purchases to secure favorable terms and reduce risk.
• Evaluates overall cost components through comprehensive cost analysis frameworks to identify savings opportunities and enhance purchasing efficiency.
• Manages purchase orders from initiation to payment, resolving issues and supporting broader supply chain goals.
• Identifies supply chain risks and implements mitigation strategies to support business continuity and operational resilience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree with a strong background in procurement or supply chain, plus 5–7 years of relevant work experience.

OR

• A master’s degree in a related discipline can be considered with 3–5 years of industry experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office.
• Supply chain certifications, Six Sigma credentials, and lean manufacturing experience are a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to influence others, analyze complex data, and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
