Kibo Japanese Grill & Cafe in Hope, BC is a hiring qualified Line Cook to join our team.

Position: Line Cook

Number of Positions: 1

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Compensation: $17.62 ~ $18.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours of Work: 30 ~ 40 hours per week

Vacation: 10 days of paid vacation or 4% of gross salary per year

Location of Work: Hope, BC

Language of Work: English

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook Japanese dishes such as sushi rolls, donburi, udon, tempura, gyoza and teriyaki
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Ensure that the high quality of foods and proper size of food portions are maintained
• Supervise and train kitchen helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work area

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial cooking is required.
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• English Skills
