Mechanical Engineer Technician - Akron, Ohio - JOB 24-00137

Hourly Range: $18.00-$22.00/HR

Local consumer products engineering and safety consulting Firm hiring a ME Technician. We work with our clients to develop and/or improve the design and safety of children's products. Our small office is seeking a technical driven individual to join our team of Project and Mechanical Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Typical, but not all, responsibilities for this position include interpreting product test reports and entering data into compliance databases.
• Performing mechanical tests of products and writing up findings for clients.
• Collaborating with other colleagues, testing facilities, government agencies and clients.
• Working with CAD and SolidWorks.
• Actively staying up to date on training and industry specific topics of mechanical engineering.

Education

• AAS in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
• SolidWorks training

Experience

• Technical Report Writing
• Mechanical Testing
• Mechanical Design
• Fabrication for Prototyping
• SolidWorks Experience
• Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook

 
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
