The problem:

When responding to a fire, every minute counts. As environmental change intensifies the force of fierce blazes—with longer fire seasons, dryer fills, and quicker winds—new starts spread quicker and put more communities in danger. Today, most fierce blazes are identified by onlookers and revealed through 911, meaning it can require hours to identify a fire, check its definite area and size, and dispatch people on call. Fire authorities need a quicker method for distinguishing, affirm, and pinpoint fires with the goal that they can rapidly answer— forestalling little eruptions from becoming destroying hellfire.
