The problem:

When it comes to fires, every minute matters. Climate change is causing longer fire seasons, drier fuels, and faster winds, all of which accelerate the spread of new ignitions and raise the risk to more communities. It can require hours to find a rapidly spreading fire, affirm its exact area and size, and transport people who are ready to come in case of an emergency on the grounds that most fierce blazes these days are found spectators and answered to 911. Fire authorities need a faster way to find and stop fires so they don't become big and dangerous.
