Electrical Project Engineer - Youngstown, OH - JOB 26-00587

Salary Range: $90K - $110K Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

A leading Youngstown, Ohio area manufacturer is recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer / Electrical Project Engineer looking to lead custom automation and power distribution projects from concept to completion

Responsibilities

• Create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts for power distribution and control systems (including electrical control circuits and bus bar systems).

• Select components and generate the project Bill of Materials (BOM) for products like SWBD, MCC, Panelboard, VFD control, ATS, industrial control panels, relays, and transformers

• Schedule, plan, forecast, and manage technical activities while monitoring budgets, schedules, and personnel performance

• Build and evaluate prototypes to validate design concepts, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product reliability

• Ensure all designs meet strict industry codes and certifications (NEC, UL, IEC, IEEE) and collaborate with third-party certification teams

• Interact daily with clients to interpret project requirements, provide field representation, and coordinate with multidisciplinary production teams.

• Prepare technical specifications, manuals, test results, and periodic progress/cost reports for executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited) OR a minimum of 10 years of proven electrical engineering experience. Master's degree preferred.

• 3+ years of experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and design.

• 3+ years of experience with electrical engineering principles, circuits, systems, and design tools like AutoCAD or EPLAN *

• 3+ years of working knowledge with industry standards (NEC, UL, IEC, and IEEE)
