Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Turner Technician to operate and maintain lathe machines for precision turning operations. The candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality components as per engineering drawings, maintaining accuracy in dimensions, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The role requires hands-on technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate and set up lathe machines for turning operations.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders.

• Perform cutting, drilling, threading, boring, facing, and other turning tasks.

• Measure and inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Ensure quality standards are met and minimize material wastage.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in operating manual and CNC lathes (if applicable).

• Strong knowledge of machining processes and tools.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

• Good problem-solving and precision measurement skills.

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Location: Chennai

Experience: 0 to 2 years

Qualification: ITI/Diploma in Turner/Mechanical or related field.

Salary: 16k to 22k per month
