Hours: Monday-Friday 5AM-3:30PM OR 5PM-3AM

Job Description:

This Structure Fitter helper requires adeptness in various tasks such as grinding, chipping weld splatter, removing high spots, burrs, and rust from structural components. You should be skilled in positioning workpieces manually or utilizing overhead or jib cranes. A keen eye for detail is essential as you'll inspect surfaces for defects. Must be able to select the appropriate grade of abrasive wheel, disk, and die grinder bits based on specifications and metal condition. Operating power tools proficiently, including starting the tool and effectively removing scratches, laminated metal, excess weld material, and burrs, is part of the role. Additionally, loading trucks, chipping or grinding out pits or cracks, and replacing worn abrasive disks, wheels, and die grinder bits are tasks within your scope. Experience with operating a MIG welder and fusing metal pieces together is also required.
