Software Test Engineer Ensuring Quality Software Delivery

Job Description

Primary Task: To create, develop, and carry out test cases and strategies in order to guarantee the security, performance, functionality, dependability, and quality of our software applications that are built in Chennai and elsewhere. This position entails working with development teams, spotting and reporting flaws, and promoting a quality culture.

Responsibilities

Examine design documentation, software requirements, and specifications to determine the extent of testing for Chennai-developed projects.

Follow the test plans when executing both automated and manual test cases.

Detect, record, and monitor software flaws with bug tracking tools.

Run automated test sets and evaluate the outcomes.

Participate in the automation plan and pinpoint areas that need automation.

Take part in agile rituals like retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning.

Participate in the creation of best practices for QA.

Required Abilities:

proficiency in creating and carrying out test cases and plans.

the capacity to successfully detect, record, and monitor software flaws.

knowledge of bug tracking platforms, such as Jira and Bugzilla.

strong knowledge of the various kinds of software testing, including non-functional and functional testing.
