Responsibilities

- Database Design and Maintenance: Design databases that are stable, reliable, and efficient. This involves structuring data storage in a way that supports the needs of the organization while ensuring long-term stability.

- Advanced Query Writing: Write and optimize complex queries and scripts using advanced MySQL queries. This includes creating efficient, scalable queries that can handle large datasets and complex relationships between data.

- Development and Optimization: Develop, implement, and optimize database objects such as Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, and Joins. This ensures that the database can handle complex operations efficiently and meets business requirements.

- Business Reporting: Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements, translating them into actionable database queries and structures. This involves working closely with business analysts or stakeholders to understand their needs.

- Documentation and Specifications: Prepare detailed documentation and specifications for database designs, queries, and other database objects. Clear documentation is essential for maintaining the database and ensuring that others can understand and build upon your work.

- Data Research and Query Development: Research required data and logic from the system and converted it into MySQL queries. This involves understanding the underlying data structures and business logic to create queries that deliver the required results.

- Performance Optimization: Analyze existing MySQL queries and procedures for performance optimization. Troubleshoot issues related to slow or inefficient queries and implement improvements to enhance performance.

- Script Preparation: Prepare and provide scripts using advanced queries based on deliverables. This may include creating scripts for data migration, reporting, or other specific tasks as required by the business.
