Position Title: Logistics Coordinator
Pay: $16/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator responsible for a variety of shipping tasks to ensure the efficient transportation of products to customers. This role involves forklift operation, shipment paperwork preparation, loading and unloading trucks, and supporting various shipping and inventory activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of industrial saws and parts, both domestically and internationally.
• Prepare freight quotes for customers and communicate shipping details, prices, and any anticipated delays via mail or telephone.
• Prepare and issue bills of lading, shipping instructions, and provide routing information to ensure timely deliveries.
• Request freight quotes as needed from established vendors.
• Track and trace shipments while en route, expediting orders when necessary.
• Respond promptly to customer and shipper inquiries or complaints regarding distribution.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or dollies.
• Maintain daily shipping and inventory records in the computer system, ensuring all shipments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Assist with cycle counts, stocking received parts, pulling parts for saw kits, and performing other duties within the Shipping, Receiving, and Parts Stockroom areas as needed.
• Train the Shipping Clerk on the essential functions of the position.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, overhead cranes).
• Minimum of 2 years of shipping experience preferred.
• Proficiency in using computer applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, email, and database software.
• Ability to understand and utilize UPS and FedEx software for shipping functions.
