Position Title: QA Technician
Pay: $17.50/hour (includes shift differential)
Hours: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Overtime as needed)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Technician to join our team in Owasso. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with USDA, GMP, HACCP, and company food safety regulations
• Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
• Maintain accurate quality control logs, inspection reports, and food safety documentation
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory and audit requirements
• Assist in the preparation and submission of audit and compliance reports
• Perform product testing including temperature checks, pH testing, moisture analysis, and weight verification
• Report any deviations from quality standards to the FSQA Supervisor promptly
• Support the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality procedures
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices
• Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to ensure continuous food safety and product quality
• Provide guidance on the proper handling, storage, and processing of materials and finished goods
• Communicate quality and safety concerns effectively across departments
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred
• Previous experience in food safety, quality assurance, or similar roles preferred, especially in meat processing or food manufacturing
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, SPC, GMP, SSOP, and food safety regulations preferred
• High attention to detail and strict adherence to procedures and guidelines
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to work in cold or refrigerated environments
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, regulated setting
• Proficient in English (written and verbal); Spanish knowledge is a plus but not required
