Sandblasting / Paint Prep
Pay: $16/hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (potential Saturdays; hours may vary based on workload)

Location: North Tulsa

Position Summary

This position is responsible for preparing metal surfaces for painting and coating through sandblasting, cleaning, and other surface treatment methods to ensure high-quality finishes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces for paint or coating
• Inspect parts for rust, scale, and contaminants before and after blasting
• Perform masking, taping, and prep work to protect surfaces not designated for blasting or painting
• Clean and degrease parts using solvents or cleaning agents
• Assist in mixing and preparing paint materials as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including safe disposal of hazardous materials
• Follow safety protocols and wear all required PPE
• Conduct routine maintenance on sandblasting and paint prep equipment
• Collaborate with painters and production staff to ensure workflow efficiency and adherence to quality standards

Required Skills & Abilities

• 1–2 years of experience in sandblasting, industrial painting, or surface preparation
• Familiarity with proper safety procedures and handling hazardous materials
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical drawings
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
