Job Title: Material Handler
Pay: $20–$23/hour
Hours/Days: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Location: Port of Catoosa
Duration: Temp to Hire

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Material Handler for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity at the Port of Catoosa. The Material Handler will be responsible for a variety of material handling tasks using equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, jib cranes, and bridge cranes. Candidates must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.

Your Responsibilities:

• Operate various sizes and types of forklifts
• Operate a bridge crane and jib crane
• Communicate clearly and interact professionally with truck drivers and delivery personnel
• Perform daily inspections of equipment and complete proper documentation
• Properly rig loads for lifting and inspect rigging for safety
• Determine the appropriate process for moving raw materials and finished products
• Perform other duties as assigned/directed by supervisor

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 6 months to 1 year of experience as a material handler in a manufacturing environment
• Certifications for forklifts, cranes, and other lifting devices
• Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Capable of frequent reaching, lifting, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and balancing
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial orientation
• Strong focus on workplace safety for self and others
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace
• Identify and manage defective items appropriately
• Follow JSA, work instructions, and use proper PPE
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and take pride in work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Perform additional duties as assigned
