Saw Operator Lead

Pay: $17/hour
Location: Pryor
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (OT as needed)
Job Type: Temp to Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Saw Operator Lead to oversee daily saw operations and ensure production efficiency. The Saw Operator Lead will be responsible for both hands-on equipment operation and team leadership, supporting workflow, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Required Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience
• Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of metal cutting equipment and safety procedures
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and interpret work instructions
• Skilled in using power tools, forklifts, cranes, and measuring devices
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficient in basic math and tape measure reading

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and patterns to set up equipment
• Operate metal cutting band saws, install blades, and set proper cutting speeds
• Use cranes, hoists, and forklifts to transport raw materials
• Monitor equipment operation and perform quality checks to ensure conformance
• Remove burrs from surfaces using grinding tools
• Stage material for saw stations and manage raw material inventory
• Prioritize cutting orders and assign tasks to Saw Operators
• Support training, troubleshooting, and safety initiatives as a Saw Operator Lead
• Communicate material needs with Inventory Control and maintain organized storage areas

Preferred Education

• Technical training or coursework in machining or manufacturing is a plus
