Industrial Painter Assistant

Pay: $15/hour
Location: Pryor
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (OT as needed)

Position Overview

We are hiring an Industrial Painter Assistant to support painting operations in a manufacturing environment. The Industrial Painter Assistant will prepare parts for painting through sanding, filling, grinding, buffing, and masking, as well as apply primer coats and maintain equipment. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong work habits, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production setting.

Required Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous paint shop or automotive body shop experience preferred
• Experience with surface preparation and primer application
• Ability to read part drawings and follow written/verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift 50 lbs regularly
• Must follow all safety guidelines for handling hazardous materials
• Team-oriented with strong communication and reliability

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for painting by sanding, grinding, buffing, and masking
• Apply primer coats with accuracy and minimal defects
• Set up and maintain paint equipment and paint booths
• Inspect products to ensure they meet work order requirements
• Identify and repair surface blemishes before painting
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Troubleshoot paint-related issues and communicate with supervisors
• Complete tasks safely and efficiently as an Industrial Painter Assistant

Preferred Education

• Training in industrial coatings, auto body, or related technical fields is a plus
