Band Saw Operator
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Location: West Tulsa
Pay: $17/hour
Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
(Training required on days for at least one week: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Band Saw Operator to join our team in West Tulsa. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining band saw machinery to cut various materials—including metal and wood—according to precise specifications. Ideal candidates should be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and capable of reading and interpreting blueprints or work orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate vertical and/or horizontal band saws to cut materials to exact dimensions
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
• Accurately measure and mark materials using tape measures, calipers, or micrometers
• Set up and adjust saw blades, guides, and controls for different materials and thicknesses
• Conduct routine machine maintenance, including blade changes and lubrication
• Inspect finished parts for quality assurance and dimensional accuracy
• Maintain detailed records of materials used and parts produced
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating band saws or similar cutting equipment
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools with accuracy
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Proficient in basic math and material calculations
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
• Knowledge of safety standards in a manufacturing environment
• Computer proficiency required
• Team-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
