SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist for a client in the precision manufacturing industry located in Sparta, MI.  This role is responsible for primarily operating Doosan CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. The ideal candidate will have strong general lathe experience and a solid understanding of G and M codes. While prior experience with cutting tool manufacturing industry is a plus.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathes (Doosan with Fanuc controls).
• Operate 2 machines at a time.
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to produce high-quality parts.
• Demonstrate autonomy in verifying program suitability, selecting proper tooling, and ensuring machining processes are efficient and accurate.
• Assist and fill in on CNC mills when needed (training will be provided).
• Monitor and maintain quality standards, minimizing scrap and rework.
• Perform basic programming adjustments and long-hand G/M code programming when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members, contribute to problem-solving, and support continuous improvement efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma.
• Atleast 5 years experience in operating CNC lathes.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls and strong understanding of G and M codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and process efficiency.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•       Experience with long-hand programming and editing CNC code.
•       Previous exposure to CNC milling (cross-training opportunity available). 
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and teach.
