Position Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Fitter Welders for a client located in Sand Springs, OK. This position is ideal for skilled professionals with a strong background in fitting pressure vessels and heat exchangers. Successful candidates must have a minimum of five years of fitting experience and extensive technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit metal components to set standards and codes in the assembly and manufacturing of pressure vessels and heat exchangers
• Apply extensive knowledge and experience in thermal cutting and welding processes
• Read and interpret AutoCAD prints for specifications and dimensions
• Operate oxy/fuel cutting torch and Plas-Arc machines proficiently
• Perform tack welding per code and within weld procedure requirements
• Utilize advanced math skills and a strong understanding of geometry to ensure accurate fitting
• Work independently with minimal supervision to execute tasks efficiently and safely
• Collaborate effectively as a team player to meet production goals
• Exhibit a company-oriented attitude, taking pride in high-quality workmanship
• Maintain punctuality and dependability, including flexibility to work outside of standard hours as needed
• Consistently maintain a fit-up rejection rate of less than 5%
